So far we have held over a dozen community tree planting days, involving over a hundred different participants including young people from deprived areas and homeless folk from the People’s Kitchen. Based on a system of pledging, individuals are encouraged to pledge to plant 100 trees within a time frame they set for themselves. Money and trees are pledged. 100 Trees acts as a space to collect the pledges and assign trees and people to plots which they are able to access.

We currently care for over 2,000 hardwood saplings across various small sites. Our aim is to establish a permanent tree nursery to allow even more people in the region to plant locally grown trees.
